James graduated with a BA (Hons) Degree in Fine Art from South Wales College of Higher Education and whilst there he was one of the National winners of the “Young Contemporaries Award”, exhibiting his work at the ICA  Gallery London.
After a brief spell at Sotherbys he left to work for the UK arm of ADG Inc on a special project to develop a  new building system which the company were providing to Egypt to address the desperate demand for new housing  in Cairo.
This was then re-engineered and used to create a unique building which was erected using innovative construction methods and the successful result is sited at Ivybridge and houses the South Devon Tennis Centre.
Since then his focus has been entirely furniture related starting with period furniture and encompassing the design and commissioning of all periods of furniture. Covering the English Oak Tudor pieces to the metal and glass of the Modernist Era and literally everything from boardroom to basement and cellar to pent house in requirement.
His scope of experience encompasses all the following sectors
